Goth Liturgy on CNN

Filed under: Anglican, Goth, Trial Liturgy — Derek the Ænglican @ 6:39 am

I haven’t had a chance to check out the video yet, but this Episcopal Cafe article links to a three-minute CNN segment on the English Goth Eucharist mentioned below.

  1. So, were the black vestments to set the mood, or was it a requiem of some sort. It certainly looked interesting.

  2. I think the black vestments were more for mood, but I don’t actually know. The services are generally standard following either the English church or the 1662 BCP in the case of COTA in Seattle. My own version that I am working on will be using the 1979 BCP and I plan to have both Rite I and II. (My preference, of course, is Rite I but I feel that I need to have the other as well). Anyway, I thought the clip was interesting and wished they had more than 3 minutes…oh well.

  4. and here’s a slideshare of ome liturgy I used fora goth service in Second Life last Friday. It uses some stuff from the Goth eucharist and I added some other bits. I didn’t do a eucharist.. it was more like Compline
